George Bandy’s 3 Social Sustainability Goals for 2011

In 2011, I am looking forward to becoming part of a more inclusive green movement and I have three ideas about how we can get there:

1. Improve our relationships with all of our stakeholders (associates, customers, suppliers, shareholders, and local and global communities) over time, while raising the quality of life for all through engagement and feedback. 2. Continue to make “green movements” more inclusive of minority communities. Our global success in having a significant impact on our footprint can only be reached by reaching all contributors to it. 3. Work with our procurement team to begin our “Tier 2” supplier diversity initiative which will help us educate and influence our supply chain. Also, developing strategies to reduce our “footprint” by sharing our sustainable vision with our “Tier 2” suppliers. Learn more about minority supplier development: http://www.nmsdc.org/nmsdc/
